Overview

Kemigisha Evas holds a MSc in Development Evaluation and Management from the University of Antwerp, MA in Public Administration and Management and a Bachelors degree in Social Work and Social Administration both from Uganda Christian University. This has enabled her to look at the social problems from a variety of lenses offering her wider perspectives and approaches to problem solving. Evas is a lecturer at Uganda Christian University in the department of Public Administration and Management. She has over ten years’ experience in teaching at this university. In 2007, Evas also worked with Compassion International projects in the area of project management and program implementation which was successful in promoting safe motherhood practices. As an academician, her research interests are in the areas of public service delivery especially in the maternal and child health aspects, local governance and gender and development. She is also interested in conducting qualitative research and evaluation methodologies. In relation to community related work, Evas is passionate about improving rural livelihoods and community engagements through participatory approaches. This has been achieved through mobilizing community outreaches with students to translate theory into practice.
