Ivan Habaasa Akatwijuka

Habaasa Ivan Akatwijuka holds a Master’s degree in Management Studies of Uganda Management Institute, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies with education of Kyambogo University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at Kabale University. Ivan is currently the University Secretary for Bishop Barham; a constituent college of Uganda Christian University. Ivan is diligent to the work of administration of the University college as well as his profession of teaching management and business studies. He joined Uganda Christian University in 2019 after 5 years of serving as the principal administrator of Rukungiri Institute of Management a reputable institution of higher learning registered and classified by the National Council of Higher Education to teach business and management courses. Prior to joining Rukungiri institute of management, Ivan worked as a school bursar for Katurika secondary school. Aside from being a financial manager and an administrator, Ivan is also known for his passion and inspiring teaching experience. He taught as a secondary school teacher at Bugangari ss, Rukungiri high school before joining teaching at institutions of higher learning. He taught at Rukungiri institute for more than 12 years and Bishop Stuart University for 6 years. He has proven excellence in the development of a strong rapport with students, colleagues and administrators in education institutions. Ivan is an inspiration to students exhibited both in class and outside class, in teaching and supervision. He has for a long time, contributed a great deal to the existing fund of knowledge and to a student’s individual academic development and also at counseling them.
